I was a big fan of Paul Walker when the Fast and Furious franchise started.
After Fast and Furious 3 Tokyo Drift, I felt the the movie lost its charm (at least for me) and the franchise moved away from cars/street racing culture and it was more about big action sequences and bigger muscles (Dwayne Johnson).
That being said, the Fast and Furious franchise would have never gotten to where it is without the late actor Paul Walker.
He was killed tragically on On November 30, 2013 when the Porsche Carrera GT car he was driving crashed into a concrete lamp post.
Paul Walker was 40 years old when he passed away.
I love cars and when I was in college, I had asked my parents to buy be a used car and they just asked me to go to hell and take the bus there (middle-class logic).
After I got a job, I saved as much as possible and bought a 12 year old used car–which was then destroyed by another driver who smashed his car into my parked car. I will write about that story some other time.
There’s something beautiful about being in a car with the radio on and I have bought three cars since my first car was destroyed.
My best friend is in Canada and owns a BMW 7 Series as well as Mercedes CLA and I hope to visit him soon once this pandemic is over.
