What JEECUP 2020?
The JEECUP is the state level entrance examination for Uttar Pradesh. Students who want to take admission into Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology and other diploma programmes in both private and government universities in Uttar Pradesh have to qualify in this examination.
JEECUP 2020 Important Dates
1. Online Application dates-:
Starting Date- 17th June 2020
Closing date- 21st June 2020

3. Groupwise Exam dates for UP Polytechnic 2020 Exam:
Group A, E1, E2 – 12 September 2020

JEECUP 2020 Admit Card
All candidates who have completed registration for JEECUP 2020 will recieve Admit cards eight days before the commencement of the exam. As with most competitive exams, the admit cards will be published online and you can download the same from the official website using the credentials used during registration.

The admit card is a must for appearing for the exam.
The candidates will have to carry their admit cards to their centers without which they will not be able to write the exam. Apart from the admit card a valid photo id proof is also needed for identity verification.
Candidates can contact officials in case of any errors in the admit card.
JEECUP 2020 Exam Pattern
Exam Mode: For Group A, E1 & E2 UP Polytechnic 2020 will be organized in offline mode. The candidates will have to write the exam using pen and paper. For Group B to I & K1 to K8 the exam will be conducted online and the candidates will have to enter their answers into a computer.
Number and Type of Questions: The entrance test will be completely objective based and will have 100 questions.
Time Duration: The candidates will be allotted 3 hours to complete the paper. There will be no extra time provided under any circumstances.
Language Medium: The candidates can appear the exam in either English or Hindi depending upon their preference.
Marking Scheme: The candidates will earn +4 marks for each correct answer. Keep in mind that this paper will have a negative marking scheme and candidates will lose 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
JEECUP 2020 (UP Polytechnic) Syllabus
The exam will have questions ranging from English comprehension to all the subjects the candidate has studied in 10th and 12th grade.
For Admission into engineering programmes, JEECUP exam will contain questions from the core subjects of PCM-Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
JEECUP 2020 Preparation Tips
-Start preparing for the examination after thoroughly going through the syllabus, question pattern and marking scheme. This is available on the official website for JEECUP.
-Do not put pressure on yourself. Chart out attainable daily goals and check your progress at the end of each day.
-Make systematic notes that you can refer to later. Keep them brief and easy to grasp so that you can use them while revising.
-Solve as many previous years question papers as you can. Set the time limit while solving them. This will help you improve your speed of writing and make you understand where you are lacking.
-Make use of the various mock tests available online to access your knowledge.
– Scout for reliable study material, be it from the internet or preparation books.
JEECUP 2020 Answer Key
After the completion of the exam in September 2020 the answer key will be released online. This will be released by the board and will have all answers for exams of different groups.
This is done so that the candidates who have appeared for this examination obtain an idea about their approximate scores.
JEECUP 2020 Result
The results for JEECUP 2020 will be tentatively announced in September 2020. Results will be declared online and can be checked and downloaded by the candidates using their allotted roll numbers.
The results will show you if you have qualified or not along with your total score. The counselling process will begin shortly after the results are declared and shortlisted candidates will be called for the same.
JEECUP 2020 Counselling
The counselling process for JEECUP 2020 will tentatively begin in October 2020 after the results are announced.
Depending upon the performance and ranking of the candidate in the entrance exam they will be called for the Counselling Process.
The counselling rounds are conducted to help the candidate in seat allocation. Seat allocation is done on the basis of merit and reservation policy. The candidates with the highest ranking will get their preferred course easily.
As the seats fill up, other candidates may have to opt for their second or third choice. The candidates are to fill their course of preference beforehand online.
During the counselling process the candidates have to bring and submit the original copies of their documents to secure their seats.
Their documents will be verified after which seats will be allocated. Candidates should bring multiple photocopies along with their original documents for counselling.
JEECUP (UP Polytechnic) 2020 Application Form
The application process first began on 1st january and was later re-started from 16th June. The application process is online only. The last date for registration is 21st June 2020. Make sure to fill the form correctly and completely to prevent rejection.
Students must register using their valid mobile number to get prompt exam related sms updates. Aadhar number is not mandatory.
Students can register for minimum three groups, i.e. one group each from A, E1/ E2 and Group B/ C/ D/ F/ G/ H/ I/ K1 to K8.
Correction in the forms can be done from 21st May to 25th May 2020
It is advisable to fill one form at a time as multiple applications from the same candidate stand a chance of being rejected by the board.

For General/OBC Candidates – Rs. 300 + Bank Charges
For ST/SC Candidates – Rs. 200 + Bank Charges
JEECUP 2020 Eligibility Criteria
You can only apply for JEECUP 2020 if you are able to fulfill the following criterias :
Qualifying Exam: The candidate should have successfully completed his/her 10th and 12th grade exams or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Qualifying Subjects: In the aforementioned exams the candidate should have appeared for the subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry mandatorily.
Domicile: A domicile of Uttar Pradesh is necessary while applying for JEECUP 2020.
Qualifying Marks: if the candidates are applying for a diploma in engineering & technology, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 35% marks in the qualifying exam. Candidates applying for a diploma in Pharmacy have a higher qualification of 50% marks for open category candidates and 45% for ST/SC.
Age of the candidate: The candidate should be 14 years old or older as on 1st July 2020. There is no upper age limit for this exam.
