What is CENTAC 2021?
CENTAC is the Centralized Admission Committee of the Union Territory of Puducherry that conducts exams every academic year. It is the admission process for state level admissions in Puducherry.
All the candidates who want to take admission into reputed colleges and universities for pharmacy and engineering courses have to apply for CENTAC.
This is only applicable for undergraduate courses in Puducherry. The last date for applying for Undergraduate courses is 13th August 2021.
Seats are allocated based on merit and candidates are not required to write an entrance exam.
The merit score will include an aggregate of the marks obtained by the candidate in 10th and 12th grade.

Following are the important dates that candidates appearing for CENTAC 2020 should be aware of

CENTAC 2021 Application Form Process
Candidates applying for CENTAC 2021 can do so online by visiting the official website.
The first step is to register yourself. You will be provided a user id that will be used to access your profile.
Make sure to provide a valid phone number and email id to get your login details and timely updates about the exam.
A separate form is to be filled for the LL.B course.
Ensure that you fill in your details accurately as you will not be provided an opportunity to correct any errors after the form has been submitted to the board.
Upload your latest photo and fill in all the necessary information.
You can then proceed to pay the application fee online through debit or credit card.
Candidates should always keep printed copies of the application form with them handy, for further use.

CENTAC 2021 Application Fee
The candidates have to pay the application fee online. It can be done through credit card, debit card or NEFT transfer of funds.
The application fee varies according to the number of courses you apply for and your reservation category
The application fees for open category candidates are as follows:
For application into one course- Rs 600
For application into two course- Rs 900
For application into three course- Rs 1200
For application into BA LLB- Rs 600
The application fees for SC/ST category candidates are as follows:
For application into one course- Rs 300
For application into two course- Rs 450
For application into three course- Rs 600
For application into BA LLB- Rs 300
CENTAC 2021 Eligibility Criteria
-General Eligibility
Nationality: only Indian Nationals can apply for this exam. French nationals who are residents of Puducherry are exempted and hold the same status as Indian Nationals for eligibility for this exam.
Domicile: Candidates should have a domicile certificate if he/she is a resident of the UT of Puducherry.
-MBBS/BDS/B.V.Sc. /A.H. /B.P.T Programme
Qualification: The candidate should have successfully completed his/her 12th grade exams or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Percentage: Candidates in the open category should have an aggregate score of 50% or above to apply. Whereas candidates in reserved category need a minimum of 40%. This s applicable for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC candidates
Mandatory Subjects: In the aforementioned exam the candidate should have appeared for and passed the subjects of English, Physics & Chemistry, and any one from Biology or Biotechnology and Botany or Zoology
Age Limit: Candidates must not be more than 21 years of age on July 1, 2021. There is no upper age limit for this exam.
-B.Tech Programme
Qualification: The candidate should have successfully completed his/her 12th grade exams or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Percentage: Candidates in the open category should have an aggregate score of 45% or above to apply. Whereas candidates in reserved category need a minimum of 40%.
Mandatory Subjects: In the aforementioned exam the candidate should have appeared for and passed the subjects of Physics & Chemistry and any one from Chemistry/ Biology/ Bio-technology/ Computer Science Subjects.
Appearing candidates: Candidates who are currently appearing for their 12th grade exam can also apply. Admission will be provided on a provisional basis and will be secured only after results are declared.
Age Limit: Candidates in the age group of 17- 21 years can apply. This exam has an upper age limit of 21 years as on 21.07.2020. Reserved category candidates can apply up to the age of 24.
-B.Pharm Programme
Qualification: The candidate should have successfully completed his/her 12th grade exams or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Percentage: Candidates in the open category should have an aggregate score of 45% or above to apply. Whereas candidates in reserved category need a minimum of 40%.
Mandatory Subject: In the aforementioned exam the candidate should have appeared for and passed the subjects of Physics & Chemistry and any one from Mathematics/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Computer Science.
Age limit- The candidate should be 17 years old or older as on 31st december 2020. There is no upper age limit for this exam.
Appearing candidates: Candidates who are currently appearing for their 12th grade exam can also apply. Admission will be provided on a provisional basis and will be secured only after results are declared.

CENTAC 2021 Admission Process
The candidates who have appeared for and successfully completed their 12th board examinations can apply. For certain courses NEET in MBBS or BDS is also counted.
The candidates will be selected according to their ranking in these exams.
For courses like B.Pharm and B.Tech candidates who are appearing for their 12th board exams can also apply.
Candidates will be provided admission on provisional basis only. The candidates can secure their seats after they report with necessary documents in the allotted time.
The candidates have to submit the downloaded copy of their provisional documents along with the following documents:
10th & 12th grade scorecard
10th & 12th passing certificate
Residence certificate
Counselling call letter original
Multiple copies of CENTAC 2020 application form
Caste Certificate if applicable
Photo ID proof
NEET Scorecard or equivalent examination scorecard.
If the candidates fail to report within the stipulated time then their provisional admission will be cancelled and allocated to the seat will be allocated to the next eligible candidate.
