Joel Osteen was born on March 5th, 1963 in Houston, Texas to John Osteen and Dolores Pilgrim.
John Osteen, his father, is an ex-Southern Baptist pastor.
John Osteen founded the Lakewood church.
Joel Osteen completed his graduation from Humble High School in 1981.
After that he went to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he studied radio and television communications.
