What is Truxx?
Truxx is a mobile application in which truck owners assist people who they need their things transported.
Truxx was founded by Carlos Suarez in June 2015.
Truxx is a pretty straightforward app to use and the app is available on both, Apple App Store and Google Play.
Note: At the time of writing this post, Truxx official app links do not seem to be working.

How Truxx Works?
Download the application and just signup on the Truxx app or on www.truxxit.com.
You’ll have to enter some basic information like your name, email address, phone number and state or you can even signup using Facebook.
Input what you’re moving, where you’re moving it to and when you’re moving.
You’ll need to pay $25/half hour where you’ll have to load and unload the items or you’ll need to pay an additional $10/half hour if you need the driver to load and unload the items.
Meet your driver on the pickup day and you’re good to go.
Truxx Features
Truxx is a simple moving app that is user-friendly for truckers and people looking to book trucks.
Using the Truxx official apps, you can easily book your ride and even earn some rewards for your booking.
Truxx also has a partnership with Shop Your Way, because of which users can redeem rewards on Shop Your Way as they use Truxx.
How to Join Truxx and what are the requirements?
To register as a Truxx driver, you’ll have to download the app and meet the basic requirements:
Requirements to join Truxx include:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Have a valid driver’s license as it goes through a background check.
- Have the ability to carry heavy stuff as it can be requested by the customer.
- Most importantly, own a truck.
How to Make Money on Truxx?
To make money on Truxx, you have to move things–it is just that simple.
You’ll have to sign up as a driver, meet the essentials and look for moving gigs.
Once you get moving gigs, you can earn money as per the distance and the labor required for moving items.
How Much Money Can You Expect from Truxx?
Truxx takes 30% as commission. According to most users, you can earn up to $30-50 per hour using Truxx.
If the customer opts for loading and unloading, you’ll get to keep the $49.
If the customer doesn’t opt for loading and unloading, you’ll get to keep $35.
Tips provided to Truxx drivers are not including in the commission so whatever tips you get is yours to keep.
Truxx Pros
Like other trucking platforms, Truxx has few pros which you should be aware of.
Some of the pros of Truxx include:
Decent Earning: This is a side earning, so you easily earn $35 to $49 per hour. More input hours, more income.
Connecting and Networking: You will keep meeting new people whenever you’re on the move. This helps you to grow your network and connect with more people.
Easy to find gigs: As Truxx does all the work of finding moving gigs for you, a simple sign up is in your hands. It is easier to find more customers this way than looking for them on an individual level.
Flexible Timings: You can choose the timings and location according to your availability. This allows you to do other tasks or activities side by side in which you can earn money too.
Truxx Cons
Like pros, Truxx platform also has few cons which you should be aware of.
Health Issues: Driving, loading and unloading all day can take a toll on the body. It is important that you give enough time for your body to rest, so that you’re safe and alert while being on the road.
Vehicular risk: If you keep driving continuously, you’ll make a lot of money but simultaneously it will cause damage to your vehicle. After a long time, the constant tear and wear down may risk your vehicle and result to expensive repairs.
No fixed pays: Getting moving gigs was never easier yet it is not guaranteed that every day would promise a decent flow of money. Spring is the season to look out for.
Tech Issues: Some complaints regarding the Truxx app come through the drivers when registering, which makes the platform hard to use. At the time of writing this post, many pages on offiical Truxx website are not working including Contact Us Page, Driver Sign up Page etc.

On Facebook Truxx has a 4.2 Star Rating out of 5 but the last review of Truxx was posted in 2019.
As of November 2021, many of the pages on Truxx official website such as Contact Us Page, Sign Up Page etc are not working so it could mean that Truxx platform is not working as intended.

Is Truxx Safe?
Truxx promises to provide truck bookings and claims that they are reliable. However, many pages of official Truxx website do not work and the Truxx app has been removed from Google Playstore. Considering these factors, signing up or using Truxx might not be safe and you should go for other Truck booking companies.
