365 Days is a story of a young Corporate executive Laura Biel played by Anna Maria Siekluck who is stuck in a spiritless relationship with her boyfriend Martin.
At her 29th birthday celebration, her boyfriend Martin embarrasses her and goes for a walk in order to seek escapism, she runs into a Mafia boss and is abducted and kidnapped by Mafia Boss Don Massimo Torricelli played by Michele Morrone.
He tells her that she is the girl he fell in love with 5 years ago on a beach when he was injured and he has been looking for her since then, he imprisons her and gives her 365 days to fall in love with her.
He promised her that he will not force her to do anything without her will, she tries to run but Massimo does not allow her to escape.
Massimo gradually starts to open up about his private life.
At a club in Rome, she flirts with another man from a rival mafia group, he forces her which resulted in a fight between the two groups, Laura wakes up on a Yacht to Massimo and he blames her and as they argue she fell into the water and Massimo jumps to save her.
It was revealed that Massimo shot the man who forced Laura in his hand and which incited a huge Mafia fight between the families.
Massimo allows Laura to meet her family and he tells her that he loves her before leaving for a business.
She waits for him for days without contact. She runs into Martin while clubbing with Olga, Martin apologizes to her and tries to convince her, and follows her to her house where she unexpectedly finds Massimo waiting for her.
While making love she finds marks on his chest from the mafia fights, she confessed to him that she loves him.
On the next day, Massimo proposes to her and she says she accepts it. She insisted Massimo not to reveal his profession to her parents.
Laura revealed to Olga that she is pregnant, and Olga tries to convince her to tell Massimo about her pregnancy.
Meanwhile, an informant calls Mario and reveals that the rival family is looking for Laura to kill her.
The car of Laura enters the tunnel but never comes out, Massimo bursts into tears as he sees a police car blare at the tunnel, realizing what could have happened to her.
The Flim received a huge fan following but also received criticism.
365 Days has been severely criticized by sexual assault survivors. This includes singer Duffy who had written a letter to Netflix CEO because she felt the movie glamourized kidnapping, rape and even sex trafficking.
365 Days has also been subjected to TikTok memes. It is slammed for Toxic Masculinity, romanticizing abusive relationships, and extraordinary attractive sex scenes.
