What is RRB Kolkata?
If you wish to offer your services in railways, then you have to clear RRB.
RRB stands for Railway Recruitment Board. It is a railway exam conducted by the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
RRB Kolkata recruitment is mainly for Kolkata Division, HQ of Eastern Railway and South Eastern Railway.

RRB Kolkata Recruitment Selection Process
- There is the reservation of jobs for SC, ST, and OBC classes. These rules are decided by the Ministry of railways and Railway Board.
- Announcement of the tentative dates of examination is done in Printing media or in the official website of RRB Kolkata.
- Minimum Time for filling application is 30 days.
- Applicants should meet the eligibility criteria in order to submit the application.
- After the successful submission of applications, the admit card can be downloaded from the official website.
- A list of applicants who clear the exam is also posted on the official website.
- Candidates who pass the online exam will be contacted for further rounds.
- Final Appointment of applicants is done on the basis of Merit list.
- Candidates selected can offer their services.
RRB Kolkata NTPC Selection Procedure
RRB NTPC CBT 1 Exam Pattern
The RRB NTPC stage 1 exam pattern contains 100 questions to be attempted in 90 minutes. The subject wise exam pattern is given below:

- There is a Negative marking of 1/3.
- Stage 1 is screening round.
- The candidates 20 times the number of vacancies will be selected for stage 2.
- Normalization of marks will be done.
RRB NTPC CBT – 2 Exam Pattern:
The RRB NTPC stage 2 will consist of 120 questions and the time given is 90 minutes. The CBT 2 exam pattern is given below:

- Separate 2nd Stage CBT will be taken for each of the 7th CPC Level i.e. Level 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 with the graded difficulty level.
- A negative marking of 1/3 is done.
- The level of questions shall be different for a different level of posts.
- Normalization of marks will be done
Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable)
After clearing the written online exam, you have to give CBAT and typing test.
CBAT will be conducted only for the candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master.
Document Verification/Medical Examination
Based on the combined performances of all the stages, candidates will be called for the Document Verification round.
