Doublelift did not have a very supportive upbringing and he seems to have struggled a lot to pursue his passion to become a professional esports player.
Doublelift had created a Reddit post that mentioned that he was homeless and esports journalist Travis Gafford allowed him to live on his couch till he was back on his feet.
In April 2018, Doublelift’s mom was killed and his dad injured in an altercation outside thier house.
